LIST OF ALL WATER QUALITY STATIONS

The map above shows sites in the Appalachian Region of North Carolina where water-quality data have been collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). Since the early 1900's, water-quality data have been collected at 173 surface-water sites in the region. Over 5,500 samples have been collected from these sites as of October, 2001. Water-quality data have been collected at 49 lake sites, primarily at Rhodhiss Lake, with over 1,050 samples collected. Data are also available for 18 ground-water sites where a total of 30 water-quality samples have been collected. Water-quality data collected from sites shown on the map are available at the USGS Real Time Data for North Carolina NWIS-Web site.
