How can your organization become a partner?
Contact the WSC Director, Holly Weyers, at (919) 571-4000 or email hsweyers@usgs.gov.
The North Carolina Water Science Center partners with city, county, regional, state, and Federal agencies to collect hydrologic data and conduct water-resources investigations in North Carolina. Partnerships generally are in the form of shared funding. USGS scientists also collaborate with scientists from a broad spectrum of institutions, including major research universities, other agencies, and not-for-profit groups. Nationally consistent procedures are used in collecting data to ensure that all locally-collected data are directly comparable both within North Carolina and across the Nation. These data are available from web-accessible USGS databases for use by citizens, public officials, industry, and scientists worldwide.
